Feathering the Nest

Secret Garden Cottage had launched the first "Feather Your Nest Thursday" and has invited us to share the ways in which we feather our nests. Take a peak over there and join in on the fun.

I wanted to share with you the "art" we display in our home. I suppose some people might take exception to the use of the word art in this reference, but to me it is all about what puts a smile on your face or brings a happy memory to mind. Therefore I can not boast expensive works of fine art, but I can happily look at the little images that warm my heart. The artwork that adorns our walls consists of prints found on holiday in Italy and France, original sketches done by my husband while on vacation, posters, postcards, our chalk board that changes with the seasons or any other image that has struck my fancy. The wood block image of Christ was something that my Granny had in her house for many years and I inherited. Yes, its a bit of a crazy mix up of things, but I like it.

  1. That looks like "Art" to me, really lovely, especially the pencil drawings, are they your hubby's? The last one is great, too.
