Summertime...

We are having a lovely summer here on the west coast of Canada.  We've had only one full day of rain since the beginning of July (almost unheard of here).  Every day we wake up to another glorious sunny day - but not too hot either.  Perfection!

We took the week off of our anniversary and stayed close to home with short trips to Lummi Island in Washington state as well as to Point Roberts.  Lots of reading of cookbooks and novels and knitting too.  Basically just shear laziness.
Pattern:  "In Threes" modified with sleeves, Yarn:  Cascade 220 Heathers in "Provence"

Pattern:  "In Threes", Yarn:  Berroco Ultra Alpaca

Enjoying the view in our nearby park

Taking our first day trip to Lummi Island, will definitely not be the last!

Celebrating our 14th Anniversary at Point Roberts, Washington

Lots of blackberry picking

Tried to make blackberry jelly but it didn't set so I made blackberry cordial instead.

Buttermilk scones with fresh figs and crystallized ginger.
