My Mother's Day consisted of fresh baked croissants, flowers, puttering in the garden, reading, and knitting. It doesn't get much better than that - especially with the beautiful summer temperature.
The book is called "The Forgotten Garden" and it is the best thing I've read in ages. The story is about a little girl who gets put on a ship in England and lands in Australia all by herself. The mystery of her life spans several generations and many locations. I am exercising great restraint by not reading it all in one sitting because I want the enjoyment to last a while :)
